24 March Bulletin
These are unprecedented times we find ourselves in, but it is clear that our health and wellbeing is of paramount importance above all else. In order to help stop the spread of this virus the Rugby Golf Club Board of Directors has decided to follow the Government and England Golf guidelines and close the course for three weeks. We will review that stance as and when further information comes from the governing bodies. We understand that this is regretful for all our members but ask you all for your continued support in these difficult times. We are continuing maintaining the course with greenkeepers following specific contact guidelines so the course will be up and ready for re-opening in the future. As with all small businesses we rely on your membership income to keep things going and we appeal to you to continue to support the club during this difficult time, this is your club don’t forget without you we have nothing. We fully understand if you are unable to continue to support RGC because of financial difficulties and would encourage you to talk to our Membership Director, Adrian Evans before you decide to leave so we can plan the way forward together. A further statement will be issued later regarding membership subscriptions.
This is a President’s year I will never forget, course closed by flooding and now the course closed by a virus, all we need now is the viaduct to collapse!! Thank you Gordon Davey for lifting the Union Jack high, lets stick together, we can do it!!
